Anyone not living in the Matrix of lies of the corporate media knows that you cannot trust what they tell us, but few realize that the CIA has engaged in systematic manipulation of what the media reports since the early 1950s, when under Operation Mockingbird it kept from the public the facts of its involvement in the coup in Iran in 1953 and the overthrow of the Guatamalan government in 1954.

On Thursday, January 14 I spoke with former NSA lingustics analyst Scott Rickard about the history of media disinformation and how it has played into manipulating American opinion in support of the policies of the international corporations whose interests it serves.
