We're covering a touchy subject today as we discuss hiring off-duty police officers for your parties, churches or to work as security at
apartments or nightclubs.

Most of the time these officers can be very effective in their roles and prevent crimes and assist security staff.

The downfalls are that the police are still the police when working off-duty security and can't overlook serious offenses or crimes in progress
and from time to time, conflicts with employees breaking the laws put officers into a different role.

There's also a liability, legal and ethical issues.

All that and more on today's edition of the Private Officer Beat radio show
