Have you ever experienced an act of kindness that made your day? Have you bestowed an act of
kindness yourself, that had no strings or expectations of reward?

 “All of creation groans,waiting for the children of God to be revealed.” (Romans 8:16)

In the Bible, Christ says, “there is no greater law than this, to love the lord thy God with all thy heart, all
thy strength and all thy mind, and thy neighbor as thyself. He also said, “Do unto others as you would
have them do unto you.” All of these commandments involve putting love into action. These acts have
a profound effect upon our human family, but mankind does not exist in a vacuum. According to the
Bible, humans were created in the image and likeness of God, and have dominion over all the animals.
We are indeed in a very influential position in the scheme of the world.

How can you participate in this advancement of consciousness? Practically, look for opportunities
in your everyday life to give of yourself. You can make efforts by volunteering
at a church, for a soup kitchen or a homeless shelter. You can volunteer with underprivileged or
abused children, or take some time to walk the dogs at the local animal rescue. Or you can just look for
everyday events to exercise your practice of loving your neighbor.

If every person would commit to a few acts of kindness per week, and/or spend some time volunteering,
