Today's show Monday April 30, 2012..Alvin from Tulsa, Ok inquired about Taboos-is American culture becoming too Politically correct? Occurrences or situations in the past used to not upset people are NOW being blown out of proportion. Alvin said society is becoming too involved where an outsider’s input is not needed-boundaries are being over stepped such as Dr. Phil saying parents should not ‘spank’ children. I expressed to Alvin America protects our “freedom of speech” but I realize our society has become too delicate; objections towards Prayer in Public Schools. Jazmin from NY said she agrees w/disciplining a child via a spanking but not medicating when a child gets out of line perse’ acting up in school and the family dynamic has been lost and must be recaptured. Alvin said he was raised by ‘the village’ which allowed spanking children when needed-he doesn’t think people realize what is instilled in parenting anymore. The newly released movie “Act like a Lady-Think like a Man” was discussed, various points were quantified that showed when a person shows signs-indicators whether a couple is a good match or not. Tyra from Cincinnati, Ohio said if a person loves-respects themselves, they will find a partner that loves-respects them.
