The Mississippi Grazing Lands Conservation Initiative presents a Fencing Field Day (GLCI) on Tuesday June 2, 3pm CST at Richard and Ruthie Carter’s farm located at 97 Spring Hill Church Road Shubuta, MS 39360. The main focus of this GLCI Field Day will be to demonstrate how to properly construct and manage an electric fence. Adapting this process can lead to some cost saving measures compared to non-electric fencing. Participants will also be afforded the opportunity to gain hands-on experience on how to properly install an electric fence from the experts. Natural Resources Conservation Service will be in attendance to discuss soil health and financial assistance. Dr. L. C. Peyton-Veterinarian will highlight herd health. If you cannot attend this pivotal event then you can listen and ask questions by calling 323-580-5735. Please share this information with others and join WCSHC’s efforts in helping save rural America.
