Disrespect is in the Eye of the Beholder

It is said the Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - and I think it is true of Disrespect. The word Disrespect has become its own life form - an amorphous blob, not having a defined shape, but used in ways we never really envisioned. It is used as an excuse for almost every kind of behavior today, and the list just keeps on growing. I have been wondering why this is happening, even as I experienced my own “Disrespect” episode, and had a flash of insight. We are going to talk about what people really mean by their use of the word, and whether or not we can put the ‘respect’ back in our lives and ditch the ‘dis’.
