Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death . . . Rom 6:4a.

This is our state on Saturday, the Saturday between Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday.  We are buried.  Think about how the disciples felt on that burial Saturday. Those are the same temptations and anxieties you will have when you have been buried with Christ. 

Can you remain there quietly in the tomb for however long God decides?  Saturday is a day where grief of loss remains but faith believes resurrection joy is coming. 

Remember we are buried WITH Him.  Christ is always going through it with us.  We participate with Him in His burial just as much as we do with Him in His death and resurrection.  We wait with Him.  We trust with Him.  Doubts may try to creep in.  We ask Him, will resurrection really come?  Is this the end?' Are your promises real?  Will I really be delivered?  We struggle in the silence.  We struggle with patience.  But He comforts us.  God keeps His promises.  Resurrection is coming!
