Keeping your eyes on Jesus Christ, the Word of God

The children of Israel are on the cusp of entering the Promised Land in the book of Numbers. All they have to do is come into agreement with God, trust that God will be with them, and go in and take what God has promised. But unbelief reared it's ugly head as all but 2 of the spies brought back a bad report - "there are giants in the land, we cannot go up to take it".  Their response showed that they did not believe that God was powerful enough to make His promise come to pass. They saw every obstacle and the size of the inhabitants as too much to overcome. This is what happens when we do not keep our eyes on Jesus Christ and where we are headed.
