What the hell, New York???

For anyone who has not been following the news recently, last Wednesday, June 15, 2011, the New York State Assembly passed the same-sex marriage bill (for the fourth time) by a vote of 80-63. Every time this billed passed before, it was unable to gain enough support within the NY State Senate to officially become law.

When the news was announced, an entire week ago, that the bill would make it’s way to the state Senate yet again, all I heard was how optimistic everyone in government was, and how this was going to be IT, once and for all. Well, then a few days passed, and the news reports started to shift a bit…

Here we are, an entire week later...the legislative clock is literally ticking down to its final hours, and still no word. Tune in to THE NEXT BEST THING this morning to hear what I think is taking so damn long, and why is pisses me off like a motha...
