Oprah Winfrey has risen to incredible popularity and experienced immeasurable success but is she simply one in a million women in media to reach such heights? Women have made great strides in the industry but there are still obvious barriers to female advancement.  What are these barriers and, alternatively, how have the vast new opportunities created by online and new media actually benefited women? Roundtable with Stephanie Robinson takes on the current plight of women in media with women in media themselves. Television executive Sidmel Estes gives her take on the progress women have made and the continued challenges they face. Radio personality Sybil Wilkes, press specialist Kathy McKiernan and journalist and new media expert Jessica Ann Mitchell also weigh in on these questions with insider points of view.
