Ep. 132 - Mets in 1st as They Head into Dodger Stadium

The Rising Apple Report is back and it's the first episode of the year with the Mets in 1st! Sam Maxwell will host at 9pm ET, with Rich Sparago joining him as we arrive to close to 20% of the season behind us.

There was a lot to complain about with the Mets offense the 1st two nights of the 4-game series against the Padres...and then Bartolo Colon happened, like he always does. On top of making baseball history as the oldest player to hit his first Major League home run, he pitched the Mets to victory before they won a thriller of a game on Sunday, with Matt Harvey looking much more like the pitcher we are accostomed to. With the Nats struggling and getting swept by the Cubs, the Mets currently find themselves a half-game above Washington as they head into Los Angeles for their first meeting with the Dodgers this year, and their first since Chase Utley & Co. got ousted by the Mets in the division series.
