The Mets 2015 regular season ended on a high note thanks to Curtis Granderson.

The N.L. East champs did not, however, wrap up their final week of play in optimal fashion as fans would have preferred.

On the west coast, the Los Angeles Dodgers took care of business winning 5 of their final 6 games to secure home field advantage through the upcoming NLDS.

The Mets, meanwhile, lost 5 of their last 6 games, as well as their last four home series, posting a 4-8 record in their final 12 games at Citi Field.

The 2nd place Nationals also earned a measure of consolation over the Mets.  In a brilliantly dominating performance, Max Scherzer no-hit them in the first game of Saturday's (make-up game) double-header.   Washington then completed a sweep in the nightcap.

Some question Terry Collins' strategy and implementation down the stretch, while others point to Yoenis Cespedes' decreased production as potential explanations for the team's recent slide.

The crew at Rising Apple will attempt to make sense of it all.

The omniscient Rich Sparago will host this evening's 119th episode of the Rising Apple Report.  He'll be joined by site editor Danny Abriano, senior staff writer Michael Lecolant, and the Converted Mets Fan Sam Maxwell.

Together, they'll review the season that was, and discuss their major concerns as the Mets head into the post-season.

The show starts at 9pm (EST) sharp.  As always, you're welcome to call and participate.  The number is 646-929-0337.
