The Memorial weekend flotilla of aid for Gaza - flying Turkish flags - was intended to spark a crisis. The lead boat was commanded by a group of 40 Hamas activists wearing flack jackets embroidered with Turkish flags. They brought high-end communications equipment and gas masks onboard. This group, alone, was allowed to board the ship in Istanbul without being screened. Serious miscalculations by the IDF played right into their hands - and the objectives of Turkey's President. Israeli commandos were ordered to rappel down a helicopter rope into this boatload of Hatred. Hamas activists grabbed the rope and attempted to down the helicopter. We know the rest of the story: Nine people died in the bloody fight that followed. A week later Turkey joined Brazil in voting against UN sanctions against Iran. In the interim, global hatred against Israel went ballistic and viral. When the world goes insane, Americans should know better - not be sucked into the hysteria. The British Petroleum catastrophe has been compared to a nuclear attack on our Gulf Coast and marshlands. Yet, Americans haven't cast stones of Hatred at the British people for this tragic event.
