Every seven minutes someone in America becomes blind or visually impaired. For many people, the loss of sight means a reduction in their independence and mobility. Fortunately there are Guide Dog schools across the United States train and provide guide dogs free of charge to qualified candidates.

September is National Guide Dog Month in the United States. It's a time to honor the incredible canine heroes who provide life-changing independence to their human partners.
