Find something heavy and grounded to hold on to Rhymes Reasons Fam, because we have a force of nature joining us today (March 10th) at 1PM CST. That person is Jane Elliot the legendary, veteran anti-racism educator. Jane is internationally known teacher, lecturer, cultural proficiency specialist, and recipient of the National Mental Health Association Award for Excellence in Education.

In response to the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. over thirty years ago, Jane Elliott devised the controversial and startling, "Blue Eyes/Brown Eyes" exercise. This, now famous, exercise labels participants as inferior or superior based solely upon the color of their eyes and exposes them to the experience of being a minority. Listen as Jane pushes you walked to walk in the moccasins of others.

Elliott was featured by Peter Jennings on ABC as "Person of the Week" on April 24, 1992. She is listed on the timeline of 30 notable educators by textbook editor McGraw-Hill along with Confucius, Plato, Booker T. Washington, and Maria Montessori. She has been invited to speak at 350 colleges and universities and has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show five times.

In November 2016, Elliott's name was added to the BBC's annual list of 100 Women.

This promises to be VERY special and it is a program you DON'T want to miss. The time: 1PM CST; the day & date: Friday, March 10th and the place: Rhymes Media Group, Rhymes Reasons.

See you there; see you then.
