3:00 pm June 29, 2016 - VOICE of RIO GRANDE hosts Dr. David Lawrence and Dr. Donna Mitchell features John Carey, Chancellor with the Ohio DEPT to maximize higher education’s contributions to the state and its citizens. Chancellor Carey discusses Career counseling – working with students throughout their postsecondary education to ensure they stay on the path to their chosen career; College Credit Plus – A PROGRAM THAT allows participating, college-ready students to earn transcripted college and high school credit simultaneously; RAPIDS – the Regionally Aligned Priorities in Delivering Skills grants; and Credit Transfer that will allow students to transfer credits seamlessly between schools, helping them earn a degree in less time at a lower cost.
