February 17, 2016 at 3:00 pm – SOUTH CENTERS CHAT with host TOM WORLEY, PhD. features Gary Gao, Ph.d., Extension Small Fruits Specialist and Associate Professor at The Ohio State University South Centers in Piketon. Discussion will focus on several innovative production systems for consistent production and season extension of blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, and wine grapes. High tunnels, rotatable trellis, and containers are some of the methods being researched. Dr. Gao will discuss effective ways to increase yield and improve fruit quality. He will share his insights on what new and existing fruit growers can do to improve fruit production and profitability in Southern Ohio and beyond.
