Wednesday 3:00 pm August 5, 2015. VOICE OF RIO GRANDE Hosted by Dr. Michelle Johnston, President of the University of Rio Grande and Rio Grande Community College features Don Moore, a tenured, associate professor and is Director of the Electronic Media program at Ohio University Southern Campus.  Don will discuss David E. Carter, area entrepreneur and business owner.  Don’s scholarly focus has taken him throughout the United States and around the world producing a documentary about Japanese War Brides.  This research, along with his study of sports media, brings real-world examples to his classroom.  Don can be found most weekends with students teaching multi-camera production at sporting events, concerts, parades, or crossing the country with students interviewing award winning media professionals.  He is a member of the Broadcast Education Association. He most recently served as the Chair of the Sports Division, and is an active participant in the Small College Division.  In 2007, Don received the Outstanding Administrator Award for his work with Southern’s Electronic Media program.  Prior to his tenure at the Southern campus, he was instrumental in the start-up of two television stations in Kentucky and Ohio.
