Mark Wallace Maguire is an award-winning author, columnist, and publisher whose work has appeared in dozens of publications. He is the author of the fictional series, The Alexandria Rising Chronicles for which he was named an Independent Author of the Year Finalist and a Georgia Author of The Year nominee. He is also the author of the non-fiction works, Confessions of a Special Needs Dad: Honesty and Hope for the Journey and Letters from Red Clay Country, a selection of his award-winning columns and essays on Southern Culture. His books have sold thousands of copies in more than ten countries and he has been featured on NPR, The Essential C.S. Lewis, KLRN, Atlanta Business RadioX, P.S. I Love That Book! and Speculative Fiction Cantina.
Maguire currently serves as publisher of fayettelifeandbiz.com, a dynamic web magazine serving Fayette County, Georgia. Prior to founding fayettelifeandbiz.com, he worked for 20 years as a journalist in metro Atlanta and for 12 of those years as director of Cobb Life magazine and Cobb Business Journal where he earned more than 20 awards from organizations such as The Associated Press and The Society of Professional Journalists. In 2005, he was named Berry College Outstanding Young Alumni of The Year.
