La Mancha Sims began Triton after the company he worked for downsized. Knowing John D. Rockefeller formed Standard Oil with the thought process "someone has to refine all this newly found oil", he thought "Why get into real estate as a builder or developer? Instead be an investor, provide money that cuts thru  red tape so business loan transactions can move quickly". So, with only one investor, La Mancha  formed his company to provide capital for these business owners.
