Christianity offers many of us hope for a brighter day, peace of mind and a new lease on life. It teaches us self control, discipline, how to love and treat ourselves and others, and most importantly, how to govern our lives on a daily basis, so that we can be prosperous in ALL areas of life (family, relationships, health, money, business, and careers). But for some believers, they feel that Christianity gives them a free pass to be self righteous, critical of others, and to cast stones at people that don’t worship the Lord in the same way that they do, and they justify everything that they do or say with a scripture, even when they’re wrong. Then you have followers that are in church for every service, serve on all of the auxiliary ministries, can quote the Bible backwards and forwards, come for the singing, shouting, and are addicted ‘happy’ feeling that church provides instead of the powerful, transforming power of Christianity. Some of these people can parrot all of the hip “church slogans” (i.e. “Blessed by the Best”, “Waiting on the Lord”, “I’m the head and not the tail”, “Too blessed to be stressed”) on demand. However, when you look closely at some of their lives, a part from their holy façade, they are struggling in every area of life. Their family life is in disarray, marriages are falling apart, finances are in shambles, and they lack self-discipline, respect and love for themselves and others. Is it "Faith or Foolishness?" You decide. Join James Coston this week on The RefuseToQuit Radio Show as he examines and discusses this taboo topic with Pastor Ray A. Barnard, Founder & Pastor of Impacting Your World Christian Center in Philadelphia, PA & Cherry Hill, NJ (www.IYWCC.org), Pastor Reggie Stewart, Founder, President & Pastor of International Family Worship Center in Norwich, CT and new author of the inspirational Christian book "Escape To Pray"- J.L. Coston (www.EscapeToPray.com).
