Green Bay Packers vs. Seattle Seahawks game preview

In week one, the Green Bay Packers recovered an onside kick to secure the win against the Chicago Bears.  A sigh of relief came over Packer fans, because the last year in the NFC Championship Game, a poorly executed onside kick was the final straw, in a Seattle Seahawk comeback.  

The last time the Packers and Seahawks met was in the NFC Championship Game, and the Packers controlled most of the game.  Depending on what team you cheer for, it was either an epic meltdown or a great comeback.  In either case, the Seahawks won the game and advanced to the Super Bowl.

It is now 2015, and a new season.  The Packers still boost a high powered offense, while the Seahawks are now dealing with the effects of success.  The have lost some players via free agency, and their top offensive lineman in Max Unger, to trade.  One player that will not be on the field, Cam Chancellor.  He is a Seahawk, but has been holding out for a new contract.  His presence is missed on the field, and the defense struggled at times against the St. Louis Rams. The Rams beat the Seahawks, in overtime and were aided by a special teams touchdown.  

The St. Louis Rams are still trying to figure out their running game, but they attacked areas that may have been filled by Chancellor.  Jared Cook, the Rams tight end, led the team with five catches for 85 yards and a touchdown. Would Chancellor have made a difference?  The Green Bay Packers have a serviceable tight end in Richard Rodgers and might be able to exploit the middle of the field. Eddie Lacy may not average five yards per carry, but can churn out some tough yards.

Jimmy Graham was the biggest addition, and even though he scored a touchdown, he was not a huge factor.  That could change against a Packers defense that has struggled defending tight ends.  Sam Barrington is out for the year, so how will the Packers defend Graham?
