41 Fires in the western USA, AND NOW.....

I was at Cal Fires 'Fire Prevention Officers Meeting' last Tuesday, 8-14-12 and no one was there. Why? Because all personnel were on some incident. It was said to me that "we hope another incident does not occur because we simply do not have the manpower to handle it".  The weekend came and the Ponderosa Fire broke out in Manton, CA. The very thing we were praying wouldn't happen. Lightning was the start of this blaze and now more than 15,000 acres and several structures have been destroyed. Awareness is key in these times! We've got to spread the word. Dry conditions and overloaded forest fuels make for catastrophic wild fires. Network Awareness. Join your local fire safe council.
