A TRIBUTE TO THE LIFE OF CHARLOTTE SMALLWOOD Charlotte Smallwood, community activist, mother and grandmother suddenly made her transition April 12. She will be missed by her family,friends and was special part of THE Washington, D.C. Community. Ms. Smallwood was a long time supporter of many groups within the community. Including her tenure as Editor and Chief of FEMAIL Monthly Newsletter (1998-2004) and Co Editor of Community Life Newsletter which started in 2005. After she retired from the federal government, she continued her activism in the community. She was a strong community activist for her Northwest One Community, persons with disabilities, seniors, children, public schools, etc. and has received many community service awards.
