ABOUT OUR GUEST: Dean S. Lewis

Dean S. Lewis is an Author, Life Coach and Public Speaker. He shares his story and empowers others to live the life they want to achieve despite of life circumstances. He provides hope and solutions. Dean initially studied Clinical Laboratory Sciences, but in 1998 Dean underwent a critical illness caused by a reaction to a medication that changed the course of his life. He spent four months in the hospital, two of which was in the ICU fighting for his life. It was while in the hospital recovering from his illness that he discovered that he had developed severe peripheral neuropathy.  Dean had to learn once more how to walk and do the basic functions of everyday life normally taken for granted.  The physical therapist informed him that it would be a long road but Dean persevered through corrective surgery, 2 years of physical therapy and strength training in order to be free of any assisted walking devices.

Dean began his public speaking and life coaching in 2012.  He published his first ebook “Peripheral Neuropathy: Nine Simple Steps To Reduce The Pain” in February 2014 and Peripheral Neuropathy: Daily Tips and Affirmations in October 2014.  The paperback copy of the book is also available on Amazon.  Dean helps clients regain focus in life and helps them to see how they can achieve their goals.  His website http://www.livingwithperipheralneuropathy.com was featured in the Dec/Jan 2014 issue of Neurology Now magazine as one of the top patient blogs for peripheral neuropathy. Dean has spoken at Peripheral Neuropathy Support Groups meetings and lives in New Jersey with his wife and son.
