Are you on an Intellectual Treadmill? It’s easy to over-consume and under-execute:

Hearing Jeff Bezos, Nick Saban, or Gary Vaynerchuk say the same thing you say doesn’t help you do that thing better. Get off the intellectual treadmill. You don’t need more confirmation.

If you want to hear your beliefs reaffirmed by famous personalities, that’s fine. There are good reasons for that.

You may lack confidence acting on certain opinions. You might believe something and not have much real experience with it. You can get reinforcement that you’re on the right track when people around you disagree with your perspective.

Hearing someone you view as successful reaffirm things you believe in can feed your confidence. But be careful that it’s not to feed your ego because there comes a crucial point when hearing it again doesn’t help you. You already believe it. Put your energy into how well you do it.
