The Dallas Cowboys Trade Up to Select Defensive Lineman Demarcus Lawrence
By Tommy Smith and Matthew Postins
RattleandHumSports.com Dallas Cowboys writer Matthew Postins joins Tommy Smith to evaluate the Cowboys trading their second and third round draft picks to a division rival in the Washington Redskins in order to draft defensive end Demarcus Lawrence from Boise State.
Lawrence was a first-team All-Mountain West selection both seasons he started for the Broncos. He recorded 10.5 sacks and 20.5 tackles for a loss in 2013. The one negative surrounding Lawrence could be his behavior that forced him to be suspended twice while at Boise State.
Is this another solid pick for the Cowboys, who took ofensive lineman Zack Martin in yesterday's first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. or do the Cowboys still need to find more help for a defensive line that was desimated throughout the 2013 season?
Join Tommy and Matthew LIVE at 9:30 PM CDT to talk about this pick and what to expect in rounds four through seven as the draft concludes Saturday.
