Ultimately we are all accountable to ourselves. So how I be accountable to myself by being accountable to others?
 

I am accountable to myself every day when I make my morning commitment to not drink. One Day at a Time is the only way I know how to not drink and daily I make a commitment and I go through my 5 point accountability checklist:

1) Did I make my daily commitment yesterday?

2) Did I stay sober yesterday?

3) Have I been sober so far today?

4) Am I ready to make a commitment for today to remain sober?

5) How many days do I have?

We are all on unique journeys, but those of us on a path of recovery see many of the same sights and by sharing our experiences (what works and what did not work) we can Support each other, Empower each other and even Celebrate our accomplishments.
