About: Growing up I would help my dad at his hair salon, knowing that one day I’d have my own business, and that it would have something to do with computers. I got into “publishing” as soon as we got a computer at age 11 where I’d write, design, and print magazines that I would then sell to my friends. I started making web sites and playing with the web at age 12.

 

Throughout college I took paid internships that allowed me to work and live in cool places like Wall Street in New York, Silicon Valley California at a startup, and London England. I graduated from the University of Waterloo with Distinction and a Bachelor in Software Engineering, complete with a job offer to work on Wall Street.

 

Somehow that path wasn’t tugging at my heartstrings as much as my passion to help people feel healthy, so I turned down the job and started a business called Raw Foods Witch. Along the way I learned marketing, and honed my business strategy and web design skills.

 

People started asking me how I created my web site, how I put together my email newsletter, and how I was making this whole online business successful?

 

Now I’m able to pull from my experience as a small business owner and teach others how to successfully leverage the internet when it comes to promoting your business online.
