Cathy Goodwin has reinvented herself many times. She has lived all over North America, including Alaska and Canada. She completed an MBA from the prestigious Wharton School but soon realized she was too maverick for the corporate world. She returned to UC Berkeley for a PhD and spent 20 years as a full time professor in business schools. She decided to leave academia when she realized she no longer was excited to greet new students and present papers at conferences.

Cathy has always been fascinated by careers and career change. She had done some career counseling over the years and she had just published a book on relocation, so she decided to take her interest online. "The nice part about going online," she says, "is you get to forget about fashion. You wear what you want and you don't meet people face to face or have long boring meetings."

As she learned online marketing others began asking Cathy how they could learn from her. She learned online copywriting and now works with clients who want to develop a profitable and professional online presence.
