love Forgiveness & Restoration part 2

1 Cor 13: 4-5 "says Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs". Its most certainly a verse of scripture we remember very well and for some perhaps their favorite verse, however its also one of the most difficult to live out in our daily spiritual walk as we are called in our journey towards becoming more like Christ and less like the world. Let's face it, when was the last time you wronged a close friend or family member, do you find it easy to ask for forgiveness or do you hold off waiting on them to respond? Its much easier to love when things are going well but the true test of any relationship comes when were going through great battles and difficulties. This afterall really shows how deep your love and devotion really goes. And so it shows areas we need to work on and often reveals sin in our lives. Every follower of Christ needs Love, Forgiveness and Restoration and yes.....freedom from the chains of an unforgiving heart. Is God knocking on the door of your heart to either forgive or ask for it yourself? Are you harboring resentment or bitterness towards someone and its eating you up inside? John 13:35-36 says this "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
