Memorial Day weekend is here again. Death is one of those topics that doesn't get brought up much in our society unless we are watching a horror movie, or there's been another senseless act of violence, or we have a funeral to attend. And even then it's often held as far away as possible as a strange tragedy that we hope and pretend will never happen to us. Permission to feel our grief, loss and pain can be hard to come by. Your friends here at the Psychic Funhouse prefer a different approach: death while difficult, can also be our teacher, advisor and a force that can help us to preserve, protect and to live our best life as best as we can. It is the shadow that gives shape to the light. As we honor loved ones who have passed on, breaking trail for each of our eventual journeys of crossing over, let's also reconsider for a moment our relationship with Death and remembrance. Not to be morbid and dark, but rather to seek understanding and wisdom, so we may finally begin creating a healthy balance in our lives, while offering love and compassionate support for each other.
