Trusting In God’s Care In The Midst Of Fear: A Prayer

Good morning, Welcome to Psalm and Prayer

Today’s prayer is based on Psalm 56

Trusting in God’s care in the midst of fear.

The very first line in this psalm:

Be merciful to me, my God, for my enemies are in hot pursuit.

To show mercy means:

To show compassion towards someone when it’s in your power or control to cause harm.

God shows us a lot of compassion.

And we should show that same compassion.

In 2 kings 4:32-37 we read about a woman showing genuine care by praying over a dead boy’s body. We need to show compassion to others, like God does to us, so we can carry His message.
