Wallace "Mad Bear" Anderson (November 9, 1927 - December 10, 1985), was a merchant seaman, traveled internationally in the 50s and 60s, and wove together a global alliance of Indigenous elders, which became known as The White Roots of Peace Gatherings.

The Late Janet McCloud (Nisqually, also known as Yet-Si-Blue, March 30, 1934–November 25, 2003) was a prominent Native American and indigenous rights activist. Her activism helped lead to the 1974 Boldt Decision, for which she was dubbed, "the Rosa Parks of the American Indian Movement."

The Late Mildred Rhoades was one of the 17 original distributees owned land on the Redding Rancheria California, commonly known as the “flat”, when the Tribe was re-recognized by the federal government in 1986.
