Today my guest is Cyd Ropp. she has a Ph.D. in rhetorical Theory and Criticism from the University of Memphis. Today we will talk about the differences between midwifery and obstetrics and how it's oxymoronic to charge midwives with practicing medicine. We will also talk about intuition and prudential reasoning vs. logic and protocols.
While we are at it we are going to tackle this thought: that all women should think of this as a "pro-choice" topic--why should pro-choice only mean abortion? Can't we coopt the phrase for homebirth? (do you think that's too controversial? Would Christians want to be "pro-choice" for homebirth? Can live and let live extend to everyone's womb?
It's gonna be a good one!
