Gary Sires, Inventor

Gary Sires has always been an inventor. His first memory of problem-solving came at the age of 2 when he found an ingenious way of getting cookies that his mom had placed out of his reach. By figuring out that certain movements within his playpen allowed him to move it, he was able to roll it toward the dresser where the sought-after cookies were located.

Gary has battled personal demons including drugs, low self-esteem, a skewed self-image due to the darkness of his skin and overcoming the memories of abuse that his mother suffered at the hands of his father. Witnessing physical abuse first hand on a regular basis at the hand of his biological father, Gary believed that it was a normal way of life. It was only after his biological dad left that his strong spirit allowed him to filter the right from wrong of what he had seen. He has used those abuse experiences in creating his most extraordinary invention yet – the Bump Key Safety device. This product was designed to keep people safe within their home environment, out of the reach of home invaders.
