This week we’ll talk about some of the awkward situations that come into a professional marine surveyor’s life For example, what you you do when you know something the other guy doesn’t know? We’ll discuss how to decide when you should or shouldn’t take an assignment, and how to determine whether new business is good business — or not. We’ll also talk about the ethical issues that come into play when you are asked to do a prepurchase survey on a boat that you already surveyed for the the present owner (1, 6, 11 years ago); or if you are asked to survey a boat for which you previously handled a hurricane damage claim. Join us to consider these and other dilemmas and difficult situations.
