As Nigel would put it, "Hailing from Kingston-Upon-Thames, London, England, but trapped in "The Bloody Colonies" since 1980", Nigel Rabid made his entrance into the world of independent professional wrestling in 2009, as a colour commentator and then announcer for North Texas Wrestling Alliance. By 2010, he would debut as a manager for Wrecking Ball Wrestling, introducing the first incarnation of his stable "The Rabid Empire". He also worked with WCCW Legend "Killer" Tim Brooks as the announcer and commentator for NAWA Big Time Wrestling. In 2012, Nigel left announcing by the wayside to focus on managing. He received training in the art of professional wrestling at the "XCW Wrestling Institute" in Denton, TX. During this year, Nigel truly began to grow a prestigious roster for his stable (whose alumni include Rodney Mack of WWE fame, ECW/WCW/WWE Hardcore legend, Raven, WWE/ROH's Charlie Haas, future NWA North American Champion, Carson and many more). Nigel continues to hone his management skills at MPX, IPCW, IHWE, nMw, FCW, RCW (in Tennessee), NWA Texoma, Inspire Pro, NAWA, VIP, CWF and NDCW He also continued to provide commentary for MPX, IHWE, NWA Texoma, Inspire Pro and The Great Khali's CWA in India. In addition to his ringside duties, Nigel also hosts his own podcast, The Nigel Rabid Show with the Offshoots Network on Podbean, every Tuesday, as well as co-hosting a pop/geek culture YouTube Live stream, every Sunday, 1up Definitive Weekend Live.
