This is our pilot show, or practice show, if you will. The hosts will be discussing the higher purposes of poetry. There is no scheduled guests, but we invite listeners to call in with comments or to share poems from contemporary or classic poets that they think exemplify the higher purpose of poetry. Some of the questions addressed will be: What is the higher purpose of poetry? Is there just one or is their many? How is this/are these purpose(s) achieved? Do contemporary poets strive to achieve this purpose?
