This week we’ll speak with Fred Raimondo of Verdant Consulting Group who believes that the supply chain efficiencies created in a well designed sustainability plan are the key to realizing the inherent value of socially and environmentally responsible organizational change. He’s also done with the term “green” — especially as it relates to business. In his words, “No more ‘green’ marketing, no more ‘green’ business practices, no more ‘green’ laundry detergent, no more cute pictures of frogs, spouting ‘it’s not easy being green.’ Unfortunately the term has become so ubiquitous and generic that we have devalued the message.” We’ll look at a few of Fred’s case studies to see how Verdant has helped its clients to focus on sound business practices, sustainable supply chain management, and ROI. Fred launched The Verdant Consulting Group in 2008 to reflect his experience and ongoing commitment to positive social, environmental and business transformation. Having held Senior Management positions in operations, sales and marketing, Fred brings a unique vision to the Verdant Consulting Group. As a senior executive at the premedia division of global printing company Quebecor World, he was instrumental in the development and implementation of technology and process solutions that enabled publishers, advertising agencies, brand owners and supply chain partners to improve efficiencies, create value and improve financial performance.
