Join HMi Radio as we talk to Yoga Master Angie Still. Angie has been gifted the oppotunity to take yoga beyond the mat and into the Women's Correctional facilities, where she shares her passion for calm and serenity with women inmates that seek alternative healing. Angie Still also has a background in Rehabilitation Counseling, studied at USC School of Medicine, and obtained a BA in English from Columbia College. She also is a 200 hour RYT through Yoga Alliance. She also has studied with Baron Baptiste and completed a 100 hour Level I program in his Power Yoga method. She is trained in trauma-sensitive yoga and mindfulness by James Fox of the Prison Yoga Project in San Francisco, California.  Other areas of training include 45 hours in Bhakti yoga with Michael Johnson of the Asheville Yoga Center, and Kirtan (the yoga of chant) with Krishna Das at the Sivananda Ashram in the Bahamas. Angie is currently the program director for the SC chapter of the Prison Yoga Project, acting as a volunteer yoga instructor for incarcerated women and a liaison and contact for the men's prisons wishing to start a yoga program. She also is an Adjunct Instructor of yoga in the College of Education, Department of Physical Education at the University of South Carolina.
