Nader Jawad, an ambitious 26-year-old who always loved to help others meet their health goals, was hit by a condition known as post-finasteride syndrome. At first he attributed his condition to depression, or anxiety caused by stress. He had no idea of the long dark road that laid ahead of him in this life-or-death struggle — which is exactly what it feels like to the tens of thousands of men dealing with this condition; a unending battle within yourself. His symptoms were not one or two or even three persisent health issues, but more than 20. And all because he took a prescription medication designed to stop hairloss. He started the medication in June 2015 to combat a slowly receding hairline, like many other young men concerned about normal male pattern hairloss. By October 2015, his world had turned upside down and it took him a week to realize it was the drug Propecia that had caused this cascade of physical and mental woes. He quickly got off the drug, hoping his body would snap back into working order, only to sit in horror as his side effects grew worse. Now, at 28 years old — and suffering with PFS for nearly two years — Nader feels it's his obligation to help thousands of others like him aroun the globe who struggle with this condition daily while praying that an effective therapy can one day be developed, allowing them to once again live normal, healthy lives.
