With so many combat veterans returning to our communities, we are all affected by PTSD. The media is painting a negative picture about our veterans causing them to be viewed in a way that is just plain wrong.  We don’t need to be scared of our veterans.  We need to better understand them.   Let’s learn what we can about PTSD so we can support these brave men and women and help them move forward with their lives back here on the homefront.

Sarah Privitar, founder of Ribbons for Troops  and wife of a US Marine will be joining us to share how she fell in love with the idea of helping veterans and military service members shortly after meeting her husband, who has served five combat tours and is now one of our veterans who struggles with PTSD and TBI symptoms.

Living with invisible wounds is a constant for Sarah’s family, and she came to realize that they were not alone.  She knew that it was important to create an awareness for PTSD and TBI.  Sarah founded Ribbons for Troops in October 2010.  She will be joining us on VOW Talk Radio to share all about the mission, what has been accomplished so far, and what is coming up in the future.
