In a recent study, 2,125 people without dementia aged 65 or older took three tests:The East Boston Memory Test, the Symbol Digit Modalities Test, and the Mini Mental State Exam.
The people who scored worst on those exams were much more likely to develop cognitive disorders like dementia decades later.
The good news is (even if you think it isn't!) because it means that what you do now to protect your brain can impact you far into the future.
