What does family mean to you!

I grew up with  my mother then I went to live with my father and grandmother. However, who do you call family and who are the people? Some examples of family are kinship (aunts, uncle, cousin, siblings), Forster Parents( strangers ) or family you have obtained through friendship. There are other types of families such as same sex. There are no wrong or right answer in the question of : What does family mean to you ?
