Monogamy: Is it realistic or are we fooling ourselves? In the times of politicians escaping to other countries to be with their mistress and entertainers making jokes about having affairs with co-workers, we must ask ourselves if monogamy just a word in the dictionary or is it something that people still long for? With most Americans, an affair leads to divorce. Other cultures don't view adultery or infidelity as harshly as we do. Are we being too dramatic? Are we expecting too much from our mates? Swingers and Polyamors don't have any problems seeking someone outside of their "main" relationship. Some people have open marriages and are happy with their arrangements. So what's the deal?
