Listen to the Sun. Oct. 2, 2022 special edition of the Pan-African Journal: Worldwide Radio Broadcast hosted by Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire. The program features our regular PANW report with dispatches on the ongoing struggle taking place in the West African state of Burkina Faso where a military coup has led to attacks on the French embassy and other outposts of Paris; the current situation in the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is leading to further impoverishment and hunger; an United Nations Peacekeeper has been killed by gunmen in the DRC amid ongoing tensions between the population and the MONUSCO mission; and the Egyptian government is continuing its work leading up to the COP27 summit to be held in Sharm-El-Sheikh. In the second hour we review the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) observer delegation to the recent elections held in the four provinces of Ukraine now annexed by the Russian Federation. We will hear additional speeches from last month's United Nations General Assembly 77th Session held in New York City. We will look back on speeches delivered by Venezuela, the DRC, and Senegal.
