PWN 2015.6.3: The Pope and Charleston

Last week RevKess and KaliSara stayed on the "sunny side" of things. That's not going to happen this week. With Wednesday's mass shooting in Charleston, SC at the Emmanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church there is little way to avoid the negative in the news. Dylann Roof, 21 yr old, is the suspected shooter in the deaths of 9 members of the church, including the pastor and state senator Clementa Pinckney. On a brighter note, Pope Francis II has issued a papal statement calling on all of humanity to acknowledge and battle climate change. Something that most Pagans can recognize as true. The first five months of 2015, on a global level, have been record breaking for high temperatures and this Spring has been one of the wettest in the Midwest of the United States - closing Pagan Spirit Gathering and threatening other events.
