Lavender Hill had a first on September 14, 2014. Corwin and Phil got to host their very first live-in-the-studio-musical-performance. Otter Creek, a folk duo from Utah, were in Nebraska to doa show in support of PFLAG-Hastings. They came into Lincoln to visit on the air with Corwin and Phil. Peter and Mary Danzig are long time allies to the LGBTQ community and have gone so far as to leave their Mormon faith because of their deeply rooted convictions that all love is equal.
This edition of the Hill features Otter Creek's music exclusively. Live and recorded, several tracks and back story on the music are available throughout the program. Mary and Peter were accompanied by their three daughters and Andrew Callahan from the Hastings, NE PFLAG chapter. Andrew also left the Mormon church because his beliefs on marriage equality, gay rights, and related issues were in conflict with the church.
