Join The Arc of Luzerne County for an interview with Theotis Braddy. For over 25 years, he has advocated on behalf of persons with disabilities. Theo was hired in 1988 to establish and administer the Center for Independent Living of Central Pennsylvania (CILCP). As CEO, he has created an independent living center that has become a strong and growing voice for persons with disabilities.

In addition to his continued commitment and service as CEO of the CILCP, he is the Visionary behind Living Well with a Disability and the first-of-its –kind Living Well with a Disability Conference & Expo held in 2013.  

At the age of 15, he became a person with a disability due to a high school football accident. He graduated from Temple University with a Masters degree in Social Work in 1988. Mr. Braddy has taught at Temple University as an Adjunct Professor of Social Welfare Policy I & II at the Harrisburg Campus. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at Millersville University teaching Discrimination and Oppression of Persons with Disabilities.
